We're not kidding. This isn't one of those kind of desktop-looking Flash® applications. This is an Operating System.
OK, Operating System, sounds neat, now you want to know more? Awesome! Well... except we're still testing it, and the beta is closed.
There is hope! We're in the process of taking applications for the second round beta test. Want to be the in the second group, click here to get in touch with us!
Here are some of current features (And some nice screen shots to go with)
-
Full Desktop Environment
Trust Desktop Environment (TDE) is the user interface you're used to. Whether you're a Mac, Windows or Linux user you'll be familiar with our desktop environment, since it operates in the same manner. Currently TDE comes with a full file browser, personal desktop, application loader and start menu.
-
Application Loader and API (in testing)
Yep, it's true, you run applications on Trust OS just like your desktop. They open, close and minimize exactly the way you're used to. And more importantly you can install new ones when you need to.
So what if we don't have an application to meet your needs? Trust OS API (Application Interface) lets you develop your software on our system.
-
User Manager
Here is one of those fancy applications we've been talking about. Trust OS User Manager is a simple application that lets you manage as many users and groups as you like. Put your whole organization in here, and create work groups to divide up work and access.
-
Permissions Manager
Permissions? That sounds complicated! We promise it's not. Check out the screen shot. With Trust OS Permission Manager, it's point, click (or drag select), change(one more click). Done. We all know that protecting data is important, that doesnt mean it has to be complicated.
But I'm not running a highly sensitive website, why would I care? Because that's not all these nifty, simple little permissions do for you. You can use them to give work groups access to specific files, effectively creating accountability and distributing tasks.
Best (reason) for last, MONEY. Money? Yep, money. By creating users and a group for client of yours, you can grant them access to just their files, effectively creating their own little piece of your software; which you can charge what ever you like for. If you want to take this a step further, we'll be accepting rebranding partners in the coming months, so get in touch with us.
